The Retreat
The Retreat sits on the hill at the back of the resort, about 100 feet from the beach. The front deck is covered for use during less-than-perfect weather. This is a two-story unit with a divided loft upstairs and a bedroom on the main floor. There is a queen-size bed in the main floor bedroom and one double bed, two twin-size beds, and a futon upstairs. There is one full bath on the main floor. Cable TV is provided. The kitchen is modern and fully-equipped. The Retreat sleeps 6 comfortably.
SPACE AND PRIVACY GALORE
The Retreat isn’t far from the beach, but it gives off a cozy, private vibe our guests enjoy. The wrap-around deck offers lots of outdoor living space, and outdoors is where you will want to be. The table on the deck is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee, play cards, or just sit and chat. It’s not a bad place for a picnic lunch either! Inside you’ll find a great room (kitchen, living room, and dining room space) and a full size bathroom. The TV is above the gas log fireplace. As is true for the other cottages, most of the furniture is sturdy Amish-built oak, and the walls are what you expect in a cottage on a lake: knotty pine. Go up the stairs and you’ll be in a divided bedroom (two twin beds on the north side and a double bed on the south) with a futon, table and chairs, and lots of floor space. This area doubles as two bedrooms and a space for guests to chill or children to play on those rare rainy days.
FOUR COTTAGES, ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES
On any given week, Snug Haven can be home to as many as 10 different families or the meeting place for one big family get-together. The purpose for being here might be vacation time or it might be a special occasion like someone’s wedding day. Regardless of the purpose of the visit, guests here have lots of personal space and many ways to make themselves comfortable and at home. Even completely full, our expansive beach can accommodate everyone. No stepping over a mile of beach towels or tripping over coolers and other people’s shoes! If you are looking for a memorable vacation spot on a clean, spring-fed all-sports lake up north, you may have just found it.
