SNUG HAVEN LAKESIDE RESORT

Snug Haven has been in operation since the summer of 1995.  However, its history dates back to the 1950’s, when it was first built. 

Although the records are hazy, we know that it operated as “Young’s All-Season Resort” in the 60’s and early 70’s.  “Nelson’s Resort” operated from the mid Seventies until the early 90’s, when it was sold to HRH Development Corporation with plans to sub-divide the land and cottages.  Donn and Alice Fink and Nancy Buerkel-Rothfuss decided to throw caution to the wind and try to revive the business.
