So, why do guests stay at Snug Haven rather than stay at a motel/hotel or someone’s private cottage—such as via Airbnb—or rent from a friend or relative?
- 1. You will find all of our cottages clean, up-to-date, and stocked with the amenities most people want at their disposal. At some private cottages, you may have to clean when you arrive to feel comfortable, and you may be expected to clean and sanitize when you leave, taking your trash with you. In a motel room, at best you’ll have a coffee maker, small ‘fridge, and a microwave. You definitely won’t have a deck with a picnic table and gas grill, overlooking a lake.
- Our beach offers over 250 feet of sandy beach on Budd Lake, with a C-shaped dock 75 feet long by 35 feet wide providing a protected swim area for parents to relax and play in the water with their children.
- One size cottage does not fit all families, and we have four different cottages to fit a variety of families and budgets. Each cottage is unique, making it possible to create a perfect fit between your needs and what we have to offer.
- Because we have multiple cottages, we can accommodate families other lodging facilities cannot manage (such as grandparents with children and grandchildren or family reunions) and special occasions or activities (small weddings, scrapbooking weekends, church retreats, off-road clubs).
- We are pet-friendly, but work to make sure that guests who arrive after pets have left will never know there was a pet in their cottage.
- Guests without pets will appreciate knowing our pet policy requires owners to bring updated shot records, keep pets on a leash when outside, never leave them unattended, and collect and properly dispose of wastes.
- Our season is tiered so that rates can be found for every budget.
- Guests who reserve a particular cottage for a particular week have the option of reserving that cottage every year. Guests who want to switch cottages for the following year can book before we open reservations to the general public.
- Help is never far away. We get calls from guests for all kinds of services, from unlocking a door because they locked the keys inside to help backing a pontoon trailer into a parking space. In a private rental cottage, there may be no one around to call.
