Essential Vacation Tips
- While we strive to provide for our guests’ major needs, if you need something in the kitchen, and can’t find it, just ask! For instance, …if you need a blender, crock pot, or even an extra “gluten free” toaster, let us know when you reserve the cottage and we can have it waiting for you in your cottage. - When families arrive for the first time, the kids will want to check out the beach while the parents check in, get acquainted with their cottage, and get unpacked and settled. You can reduce your stress levels if you read the Snug Haven Information file sent along with your lease, and ask any questions via texting or email that you might have about your particular needs and/or concerns before you arrive.
- We have found that our non-motorized watercraft can add a great deal of enjoyment for parents and children alike, but please understand that they are not toys, and the life jackets, paddles, and oars are meant to be used accordingly.
- Unpowered watercraft are meant to be used only during daylight hours, and each craft is marked with a passenger and weight limit.
- Please pull the watercraft safely on shore when finished using them, and return the paddles/oars and jackets to their proper place—rinsed off if needed so that the next person will find one dry and free of sand. In other words, treat them as if they were your own!
- Parents and Grandparents often make the mistake of pulling their youngsters off the beach to take them someplace to entertain them. Our advice: Let them play on the beach or in the water, kick back and watch them play, and when in the mood go and join them! Budd Lake has it all!
