Our Answers to FAQs

1. Do you have wi-fi?  Yes, and it can handle your basic needs.  However, if multiple guests try to download large files or stream videos there will likely be a delay.  Spectrum (our internet and cable provider) does their best to provide coverage in the northern parts of Michigan, but they do not claim to offer the same signal strength one might find in New York City.  But then, who wants to be in New York City during the summer months?
2. What should we bring? For outside, bring your favorite beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, and water toys.  For inside, you will find an assortment of cookware, dishes, glasses, mugs, and cutlery.  You might want to bring your specialized equipment; for instance, tangines, bread or lasagna pans, and barbeque utensils. In addition, you may want to bring coffee, creamers and sugars, soft drinks, koozies, and baking and cooking spices. Oh, and paper products….lots of paper products!
3. What products and services will we find in the area? You will find in Harrison an assortment of grocery stores; a fruit & vegetable market; 3 pharmacies; a number of dollar stores; a post office; and a city park with tennis courts, ball fields, and playground equipment.  There are a number of restaurants in the area as well, of both sit-down and fast-food varieties.
