Live the Lake Life
The Lodge is only steps away from the sand
The Lodge
The Lodge is a three-story unit with a knotty pine interior and large covered deck facing the lake. There are two double beds in the upstairs loft area and a queen-size bed in the main floor bedroom. The lower level contains a walk-out bedroom facing the lake with a queen-size bed and private bathroom. This unit has a gas fireplace, convection oven/stove, microwave oven, and full kitchen. There is a full bath on the main floor and another on the lower level. The cottage has cable TV for those rare occasions when you need contact with the outside world. The door from the lower level opens directly to the beach.
THREE-STORY LIVING
The Lodge keeps everyone (and every thing) looking up. On the ground floor is a concrete patio, complete with picnic table and wooden chairs. In front of the patio is a nice strip of lawn, perfect for Ladder Golf or Cornhole Toss. Inside is a queen bedroom with a private bathroom; the window on this floor looks out on the beach and Budd Lake. The second floor houses the essential rooms for a cottage: full-size kitchen, dining table, and living area with comfortable futon. The bedroom on this level contains a queen-size bed, and there is a bathroom on this floor, as well. Up above, in the loft, are two double beds. A small nook with a window overlooking the lake contains a table and four chairs for private dining or a midnight snack.
ENJOY THE MOMENT
Vacation time is precious. Don’t spend it crowded into one or two motel rooms in front of a mall parking lot, eating fast food, and driving all over looking for things to see and do. Pick a location where you can relax, enjoy the scenery outside your windows or from your deck, take day trips from your central location, and save money by cooking brats on your private gas grill. If you must see sights, Snug Haven is about 2 and a half hours from the Mackinac Bridge (a 5-mile long suspension bridge you won’t soon forget) and both Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. Inland lakes are great. As the T-shirts say, the Great Lakes are as impressive as the ocean but “Unsalted and Shark Free.”
MODERN LOG CABIN LIVING
On the outside, the Lodge is a vinyl wrapped modern-looking cottage. On the inside, it’s still a modern, contemporary structure but it’s built like a log cabin with actual trees for structural support and knotty pine walls. Amish furniture throughout adds to the “on a lake in the woods” charm the cottage was designed to convey.
RUSTIC COMFORTS
and Modern Conveniences. The Lodge is equipped with a full kitchen, including a microwave and a convection oven. With resort Wi-Fi and cable equipped television, the contact with the outside world isn't lost. The Lodge is a perfect blend of old world style and modern equipment.
ABOUT THE LODGE
The Lodge is yet another important piece of the resort that is both the same as the other cottages AND very very unique. With the Hideaway, Nest and Lodge rented together, you have the makings of a small family reunion under three roofs.
